Olympic Day Run Greece

The 8th Olympic Day Run Greece will take place in the city of Thessaloniki on Sunday 23 November 2025.



Every year, Olympic medallists, Paralympians, and representatives of international and Greek Olympic institutions join forces with top athletes and active citizens, highlighting the Greek and Olympic spirit on a global scale.

The event includes Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1.5K races. It offers runners of all ages and abilities the opportunity to participate in the country’s largest Olympic celebration.

The globally unique route combines Thessaloniki’s seaside axis with its historically and culturally significant landmarks - features that have earned the city positive reviews among international urban marathons - promising an exceptional cultural, athletic and touristic experience.

Furthermore, the parallel cultural and educational activities accompanying the 8th “Olympic Day Run” Greece will enhance the dissemination of Olympic Values and contribute to Thessaloniki’s international visibility, promoting it as a leading sports, tourism and cultural destination.

According to official runner data, the 2024 race attracted more than 8.000 participants from 78 countries and five continents, while this year’s edition is expected to exceed 10.000 participants.
