Helicon Mountain Race
The Helicon Mountain Race is scheduled to be held in Livadeia, Central Greece, on 4–5 April 2026.

It is an international mountain running event set against the mythical backdrop of Mt. Helicon. The event features six race distances of varying difficulty, suitable for runners of all levels.
ROUTES
HMR 38 km | +2,200 m
The main and most demanding race of the event.
HMR Relay 38 km – Team relay race (12 km +1,000 m / 26 km +1,200 m).
HMR Solo Trail 26 km | +1,200 m
An individual race covering the second half of the main course.
HMR Basic 14 km | +700 m
Ideal for intermediate mountain runners.
HMR Sprint 5.6 km | +350 m
A short, accessible route passing through historic sites of Livadeia.
Helicon Kids Race 1,5 km
A children’s race, introducing young participants to mountain running.
All races start and finish at the impressive Open Stone Theater of Krya, located in the scenic gorge of the Krya Springs. The major events take place on Sunday, while the children's race is held on Saturday.
The event aims to highlight the pristine natural and historical landscape of the region, featuring fir-covered trails, gorges, traditional stone pathways, and culturally significant landmarks, including the Byzantine Castle of Livadia, the Erkyna Gorge, and the city’s historic pathways.
