Athens Half Marathon 2026

The Hellenic Athletics Federation, and the Municipality of Athens jointly organise the Athens Half Marathon on 08 March 2026.

The event includes the following races:

• Half Marathon, participation limit 12,000 runners
• 5km Road Race, participation limit 15,000 runners
• Family Run 1000m, participation limit 2,500 runners

The Half Marathon starts at 08:00, and will be concluded at 11:30. By that time, all runners need to have reached the finish line.

Start Line: Syntagma Square, Amalias Avenue (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier).
Finish Line: Amalias Avenue (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier).

The 5km Road Race starts at 12:15 and finishes at 14:10.
Start Line: Syntagma Square (Filellinon Street) at the height of Ermou Street.
Finish Line: Amalias Avenue (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier) coming from Panepistimiou Street.

The Family Run starts at 11:45.
Start Line: Vas. Sofias Avenue (Byzantine Museum).
Finish Line: Syntagma Square (Tomb of the Unknown Soldier).
