SANTORINI

Santorini Film Festival 2025

Under the theme 'We're Not Really Strangers', the 8th Santorini Film Festival takes place from July 18 to 20, featuring screenings and educational activities for children.

Through a programme of short and feature-length films reflecting this year's theme, the Festival’s central message is our connection with others.

With the world being in turmoil and daily life disrupted by various events and environmental phenomena, as recently happened in Santorini, the need to reassess our priorities and values is more urgent than ever. Therefore, this year’s programme focuses on the notions of solidarity, empathy, and compassion. Through different stories, each film explores a different aspect of human relationships and our connection with others, and all together compose a mosaic of experiences.

Like in previous years, the Festival will take place at the Open Air Cine Kamari and at the Tomato Industrial Museum "D. Nomikos"—two of the island’s most important cultural venues.

With Greek and English subtitles.

At the same time, with the message 'We’re Not Really Strangers', SFF2025 aims to serve as a meeting platform where locals and travelers, friends and strangers, cinephiles and filmmakers will connect with each.
