International Xinomavro Day 2025

Cheers to Xinomavro

International Xinomavro Day was established in 2019 through the initiative of the “Winemakers of Northern Greece” and has since been celebrated every year on November 1st, a date that roughly marks the completion of the harvest of this wine variety.



In this context, winemakers of this specific variety invite us to celebrate International Xinomavro Day together with a unique tasting dedicated to Greece's most notable red grape variety.

The event will take place at “The Wine Hub,” the headquarters of the Winemakers of Northern Greece, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the different expressions of Xinomavro wine.

During the event, participants will have the chance to taste and explore the multidimensional character of Xinomavro from 17:00 to 21:00.

The Xinomavro variety, along with the Agiorgitiko variety, is considered one of the finest Greek red varieties. It has a deep colour, high acidity, and a rich aroma.
