Full Moon Sleepover

The much-loved Full Moon Sleepovers return for a third year at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC), for a moonlit experience on Wednesday, June 11, 2025!

This year’s Full Moon kick off with a tribute to the most iconic cinematic saga of all time: Star Wars. Four films that shaped pop culture and inspired generations will be screened back-to-back in a night full of action, emotion, and intergalactic adventure.

SCREENINGS

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)
Set just before the events of A New Hope, a group of rebels led by the courageous Jyn Erso embarks on a sacrificial mission: to steal the blueprints of the Empire’s Ultimate Weapon – the Death Star. A dark, war-themed chapter in the Star Wars saga that reveals the true cost of hope.

Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977)
Young Luke Skywalker lives a quiet life on the desert planet Tatooine until fate leads him into a galactic rebellion. With Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, he joins the fight against the Empire and sets out to destroy the Death Star. The film that launched the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
The Empire strikes back with force. As Luke trains with Yoda to become a Jedi, his friends struggle to survive in a galaxy falling deeper into darkness. With emotional twists and the iconic “I am your father” reveal, this chapter is often hailed as the finest in the saga.

Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983)
Luke faces Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine in a final battle between Light and Dark. The Rebellion unites for a last stand to destroy the Empire, while Luke must fulfill his Jedi destiny. A powerful conclusion to the original trilogy.

A journey to a galaxy far, far away begins… under the full moon’s glow, at the Stavros Niarchos Park.
