The Piraeus Port Film Festival returns to Piraeus for its third edition, taking place from 10 to 13 September 2026 at the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus.

This year’s theme, “From the Baltic to the Mediterranean”, brings Polish and Greek cinema together in a programme that explores themes of memory, identity, the body, space and matter.

Alongside its focus on Polish cinema, the festival presents a selection of important contemporary Greek films, highlighting the energy, diversity and international presence of a new generation of Greek filmmakers. With a carefully curated programme of screenings, visual projects and artistic collaborations, PPFF 2026 goes beyond the traditional film festival, creating a rich and engaging cultural experience.

A special focus of this year’s programme is the Greek short film competition, which supports contemporary Greek filmmaking and gives emerging Greek filmmakers the opportunity to share their work with audiences and the international film community. Cash prizes will also be awarded, providing meaningful support to a new generation of filmmakers and helping them take the next step in their creative careers.
