Festival

The Xanthi Old Town Festival 2026 will take place in the historic Old Town of Xanthi from Sunday 30 August to Saturday 5 September 2026.



This year's programme is spread throughout the Old Town. The Central Stage will host a large musical gathering every night, the Youth Stage will feature bands and music schools from the city, while the alleys will once again host the hangouts of more than 35 cultural associations, with live music, traditional feasts and local flavours.

Throughout the festive season, free themed tours of the Old Town will be available to visitors. The programme also includes a rich selection of children's activities, headlined by the Technology Festival at Limnio Theme Park, as well as exhibitions in some of the city's landmark venues and exciting new events, including the inaugural Honey Festival.

The Xanthi Old Town Festival is one of the region’s most established cultural events and celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2026. For one week, the picturesque streets and squares of the Old Town become a vibrant meeting point for residents and visitors, offering a distinctive blend of music, entertainment, local traditions and authentic hospitality.
