The 10th International “ANO” Organ Festival will take place on the island of Syros from Monday 17 to Saturday 23 August 2026. Admission is free. The festival is under the artistic direction of internationally acclaimed conductor Stefanos Tsialis.

With the aim of showcasing the organ of St George’s Cathedral in Ano Syros and, at the same time, bringing new life to the medieval settlement of Ano Syros, the Catholic Diocese of Syros and the Association of Greek Catholics of Syros have been organising the International ANO Organ Festival since 2017. The anniversary edition, “10 Years of ANO – 200 Years of Hermoupolis”, includes concerts, musical collaborations, literary readings, talks and exhibitions, highlighting Syros’s long-standing connection with music, the arts and European culture.
Highlights of this year’s programme include the participation of Olivier Latry, the legendary organist of Notre-Dame de Paris; a historic musical meeting between Catholics and Orthodox Christians at St Nicholas Church in Ermoupolis; the first appearance of the ANO Festival Orchestra at the Apollo Theatre, performing works by 19th-century composers from Syros; and the festive closing concert, featuring works for organ, strings and choir.
Alongside the concerts, the exhibition “10 Years of the ANO Festival”, curated by Agni Roussou, will offer visitors a look back at the festival’s ten-year history.
