Spetses welcomes the Armata 2026 Festival, taking place from 28 August to 13 September, with a rich programme of cultural and entertainment events. Admission is free.The festival honours the historic Naval Battle of Spetses and aims to preserve and celebrate the island’s history and traditions. The programme includes concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions, traditional events and activities for children.

The highlight of the celebrations will take place on Saturday 12 September at the Old Harbour of Spetses. From 17:30 to 20:30, visitors will be able to experience the spectacular re-enactment of the 1822 Naval Battle, featuring the dramatic burning of the replica of the Ottoman flagship, followed by fireworks and an impressive drone show.
