International Eressos Women’s Festival 2026

The International Eressos Women’s Festival – Sappho Women takes place from 9 to 19 September 2026 in Skala Eressos, Lesvos, a place historically associated with the ancient Greek poet Sappho.

The festival runs for 11 days and offers a diverse programme of activities and events. Visitors can enjoy concerts and live performances, DJ sets, film screenings, dance, theatre, art exhibitions, workshops, yoga, sports activities and creative seminars, as well as excursions and water-based activities. The programme also includes parties and evening events. Activities take place throughout the day and into the evening, across a variety of venues in Skala Eressos and along the beach.

The Sappho Women Festival has become an important meeting point for women from different countries and cultural backgrounds, with a strong emphasis on community, inclusivity, creativity and freedom of expression.
