“in[n] Athens”: a brand new hotel in the heart of the city

“in[n] Athens” at the atmospheric Rallis arcade, two steps away from Syntagma Square, is the newest hotel in Athens. A magnificent listed neoclassical building, which in the past had housed a boarding school and bank offices, was turned into a modern urban hotel, where old meets new in a charming ensemble. Each of the 22 rooms and suites is different, thanks to the particular custom made constructions – from beds to furniture to wardrobes to bathrooms – of the known architect and designer Dionysis Sotovikis, who has taken care of the whole decoration in all the areas of the hotel, with natural materials, such as iron, marble and wood, dominating. As you sit in the lovely atrium of the arcade, which embraces “in[n] Athens”, you’ll almost forget that you are in downtown Athens, only a few minutes away from Plaka, Monastiraki and Thission.
