“Hydrama Grand: an old tobacco warehouse in Drama relives as a luxury hotel

Drama, one of the cities in Northern Greece where tobacco growing flourished in the past, prepares to welcome its first 5* hotel, housed in an old tobacco warehouse that covers an area of 7,000 sq.m. “Hydrama Grandˮ will open its doors in October, giving life to a four-storey listed building of the 1920s, after an exemplary restoration that fully respected its architectural features. It consists of 73 luxury rooms and suites and features two restaurants and a two-storey spa that are open to outside customers too, as the hotel plans to be an organic part of the city life. Apart from the strong interest it presents for nature lovers, the wider area of Drama ranks among the richest wine producing areas of the country, being at the same time an ideal destination for lovers of wine tourism, as most wineries are open to visitors.
