Mykonos’ new hotels

Another “hot” summer has begun for the famous Greek island, with many and exciting new hotel openings. With a name that is the acronym of the words “Other Side of Mykonos”, the “Osom Resort” at the upper side of Korfos is here to introduce its guests to “another side of Mykonos”: it stretches over a spacious area with tranquil gardens, communal spaces with a bohemian aura and rooms with a modern aesthetic, where white and petroleum touches dominate. The same site was chosen by the owners of the boutique hotel “Sesa” of Preveza to house its “sister,” called “Dreambox”. The hotel is a member of the well-known hotel management company HotelBrain, and so is the brand new “My Mykonos Hotel”, in luxurious colonial style, with a restaurant and a bar, in the area of Hondros Gremos just outside the Chora, and the “Absolut Mykonos”, which is the impressive result of the top-to-toe renovation of the classic “Golden Star” that was turned into a new-era hotel with cutting edge aesthetics. The brand-new “Branco”, a boutique resort on the seafront of Platys Gialos, has a lifestyle character: it features a beautiful swimming pool and beach bar, a restaurant with modern Greek dishes conceived by the award-winning Chef Athenagoras Costakos, and cocktails that bear the signature of Vassilis Kyritsis from the famous bar “The Clumsies” of Athens, and also places emphasis on wellbeing. Last but not least, in Evangelistraki, the nine brand-new suites “Adel Private Suites” bank on the beautiful combination of unfussy luxury with the water element and promise romantic sunsets from the verandahs with the private pool or Jacuzzi, while privately owned 4X4 vehicles are made available for guests to move around the island.
