Pramanta
The final stop of the route is the village of Pramanta, which can also serve as a base for exploring the southern Tzoumerka region. In the central square, at the foot of the imposing Strogoula peak, you will be greeted by a centuries-old plane tree, before continuing to the Monastery of Agia Paraskevi to enjoy panoramic views. Visit the impressive Anemotrypa Cave with its unique geological formations and underground lakes in shades of white, pink, and gray. In the cave’s final downhill section, you will hear the roar of the river rushing through the depths of the earth.
Continue to the magnificent Plaka Bridge, the largest single-arch stone bridge in the Balkans, a prime example of Epirus masonry with a clear span of 39.78 meters! After collapsing in 2015 due to severe weather, it was fully restored in 2020 with an exemplary reconstruction. Walk across it while enjoying views of the emerald waters of the Arachthos River and rest at the small café next to the bridge before beginning your return journey.
