When to go
Epirus is enchanting year-round, but its dramatic winter landscapes are best experienced from December to March. Forested mountain slopes and alpine villages are blanketed in white, fireplaces glow warmly, and the alpine grandeur of the Pindus range reveals itself in all its glory. Note, however, that driving requires caution, as country roads are narrow and winding, and certain sections may close during heavy snowfall. Before setting out, check local weather conditions and ensure you carry snow chains or snow socks.
