A coastline full of colour and crystal-clear waters
On Koufonisia, an unforgettable shade of turquoise prevails. After leaving the Chora behind, you can follow the coastline on foot, and then take a caique to Kato Koufonisi, where the hues become wilder.

- Ammos: The main beach, with fine sand and shallow waters, close to the cafés and tavernas of the Chora. Family friendly. Accessible on foot from the Chora.
- Finikas (Charokopou): Golden sands with tamarisks, a taverna by the shore. Calm pace, access on foot or by road.
- Fanos: Sandy beach with small rocky bays at the edges, for snorkelling and observing the seabed. A few umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as a beach bar. Accessible on foot or by road.
- Italida (Platia Pounta): Secluded feel, fine sand, small rocky coves nearby for snorkelling. Nudist friendly as well. No facilities, accessible on foot or by shuttle boat.
- Pori: Large enclosed bay with white sand – one of the top beaches in the Cyclades. Nearby it is worth seeing the Natural Pool, the Devil's Eye and, towards the north, Gala, a spectacular sea formation. There are a few tavernas in the area. Accessible via the coastal path, taking about 30 minutes from the Chora, or by boat.
- Cave, Chondros Kavos: Nearby, for a quiet swim. Accessible on foot.
- Panagia: Pebbled, protected from northern winds. Accessible by caique, short walk.
- Detis: A sheltered cove with shallow turquoise waters, white sand and rocks forming small caves. Accessible by caique and a short hike.
- Hawaii: The "postcard" beach of Kato Koufonisi, with golden sand, sea caves and rock passages. Accessible by caique and a 10-minute walk from Venetsanos' taverna. Considered ideal for wedding events.
- Nero: Large sandy beach with fine pebbles. Accessible by sea or via a beautiful 30 to 40-minute-long hike from Venetsanos' taverna. Ideal if you want peace and tropical colours.
- Lakki: Sheltered pebbled beach. Accessible by caique.
