Lastly, in May, Dramoinognosia turns Drama into an open festival of wine culture with tours, tastings, thematic workshops, local delicacies, theatre, music, and dance. At Château Nico Lazaridi Winery, the experience begins with a tour of the vineyards and the underground ageing cellar, and culminates at the ‘Magic Mountain’ Art Gallery. Discover the works of Greek and international artists that serve as the visual themes for the estate's wine labels, and admire the view from the winery's tower during what is sure to be an unforgettable visit.

Domaine Costa Lazaridi
Domaine Costa Lazaridi impresses with its own Wine Museum, spread over two levels. The exhibits, dating back to the 17th century AD, are framed by modern audiovisual media and tell the story of viticulture along with the production process of wine and spirits, in a harmonious marriage of tradition and technology.

Manolesakis Estate
Full tours of the vineyard and the production and ageing areas are also conducted by the award-winning Manolesakis Estate. Taste its exquisite wines in the space where they are created, on a soaring journey of flavours and aromas.

Agia Varvara Park
Enrich your wine tourism experiences in Drama with a relaxing stroll through Agia Varvara Park, a fairytale urban wetland that has been included among the 60 most beautiful parks in Europe. The huge plane trees, picturesque ponds, traditional watermills, and wooden bridges create the ideal setting – before and after your tasting. Stop by the Rhodope mountain range visitor information centre, where you will learn many interesting things about the region's natural environment.

Do not miss the Museum of Photography – Marble House, where snapshots of old Drama tell moving stories from the past in a listed monument-building.

Sadirvan Mosque
Discover the beautifully restored Sadirvan Mosque in the centre of Drama. With rare external decoration and a minaret dating back to the second half of the 15th century, it is one of the most beautiful Islamic monuments in Greece. It currently operates as a cultural space, illuminating the city's journey through the centuries.

Angitis River Cave
Next, experience the ultimate adventure at the imposing Angitis River Cave, one of the largest accessible river caves in the world. The first 500-metre section is open to visitors and the trail follows the flow of the river. Its waters, sometimes calm and sometimes noisy – when its bed slopes – create a stunning soundscape, featuring the majesty and power of nature.
