In the narrow streets of the traditional district of Harmaina, where the art of tanning once flourished, the myth of Konstantis is revived. According to local lore, Konstantis became a spirit when lightning struck his beloved Lenio. The two-day events begin on Friday night with music, food, dancing and the "Awakening of Konstantis", to continue the next day with the "Night of the Spirits" and a huge procession, ending in Kehagia Square. Bell bearers, leather bearers and mythical figures accompany the spirit in the nocturnal city, in an evocative reenactement that blends folk faith with artistic expression.

During the flour war of Galaxidi, laughter, high spirits, colour, and carefree fun reign supreme, as the harbour becomes a joyful stage of celebration.
The epicenter of carnival festivities, of course, lies across the Corinthian Gulf in the Peloponnese: in Patras, home to the renowned Patras Carnival. The festivities traditionally kick off in the second half of January and reach their dazzling climax with the grand parade on the last Sunday of Carnival season.
