A Journey through the History of Four Wheels

The Hellenic Motor Museum, which opened its doors to the public in March 2011, awaits at the ‘Capitol’ Complex, covering an area of 5,000 square metres. The Museum has three floors where you can explore the historical evolution of the automobile, from the era of Karl Benz to the present day. The Complex includes the exhibition, an auditorium with 200 seats and a 3D projection system, a simulator, a room where children are educated on road safety issues, an event space, a café, and a shop.

From the History of the Wheel to Celebrities’ Cars

Ascend the spiral ramp to the 4th floor and discover the history of the wheel. At the end of your journey, you will find the entrance to the exhibition. The space showcases models from renowned firms that no longer exist, as well as firms that are still active today. Some of the cars from the Charagionis collection on display at the Greek Automobile Museum include Paul Newman's Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, Robert Plant's 1959 Chrysler Imperial, and a 1979 Cadillac Seville Gucci, with an interior specially designed by Gucci.

Souvenirs and Access

Car enthusiasts will discover fascinating souvenirs in the Museum shop. The Museum is located in the ‘Capitol’ shopping mall of the Charagionis Group, at the junction of Tritis Septemvriou Street, Ioulianou Street, and Patision Street.
