Greece's largest wine-growing zone opens its doors
The Great Days of Nemea is the region’s premier oenotourism event. It is a three-day celebration dedicated to wine, but also to the land, its people, and the diverse expressions of an evolving vineyard. It is the moment when Nemea speaks with its own voice about Agiorgitiko and its PDO zone—the largest wine-producing region in Greece.
Established in 2004, the event is organised by the Nemea Wine Producers Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Nemea. Its aim is to highlight local wine culture, boost oenotourism, and foster meaningful contact between the public, the producers, and the various versions of Agiorgitiko.
The festival usually takes place during the first weekend of September and spreads across the entire zone.

- Open Wineries: More than 30 wineries welcome the public with free tours and tastings.
- Central Events: The inaugural "Symposium of Angels," masterclasses led by sommeliers and experts, and vertical tastings of aged labels.
- Gastronomy and Culture: Agiorgitiko meets local products, music, exhibitions, and artistic events held within the vineyards.
- Educational Activities: Seminars on winemaking and presentations of other local varieties, such as Kydonitsa.
