Nisyros welcomes the Volcanic GeoRun 2026, a unique running event, within the Nisyros UNESCO Global Geopark, that combines mountain running with the island’s distinctive volcanic landscape, taking place on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026.

The routes follow trails, dirt roads, cobbled paths and rocky terrain, offering participants the opportunity to experience Nisyros’ volcanic landscape through running.
