From 11 to 19 July 2026, Athens will welcome the Athens Open WTA 250, bringing a WTA Tour tournament back to Greece for the first time since 1990. The event will place the Greek capital firmly on the international sporting calendar, attracting elite players and tennis fans from around the world.

More than 60 of the world's top female tennis players are expected to compete, including some of the highest-ranked athletes on the WTA Tour.

The tournament will be played on three outdoor hard courts. The centre court will accommodate more than 8,500 spectators, while the two additional match courts will offer a combined seating capacity of over 3,500.
