Release Athens 2026 welcomes Sabaton on Saturday July 25th at Plateia Nerou (Water Square) in Faliro. The Swedes, stronger than ever, will close the festival, four years after their first appearance at the same venue.
From their debut album in 2005 to the present day, they have released a series of chart-topping albums that have sold millions of copies and proven that power metal can be both educational and exciting. They have turned historical battles and heroic moments into metal anthems.
They will be joined by Savatage, who are returning to Athens after many years and will be the ideal co-headliners in a line-up rounded out by Epica, who are so beloved in our country for their symphonic metal.
