From 23 to 26 July, the heart of Crete comes alive at the 11th Amari Green Festival.

A journey through nature, tradition, mantinades – traditional Cretan improvised rhyming couplets – local gastronomy, music and authentic experiences. Enjoy guided hikes, workshops for all ages, traditional flavours, exhibitions, talks, concerts, open-air cinema, treasure hunts, book presentations and more than 40 activities that bring together people, villages and generations.

This year, we celebrate the mantinada, the traditional Cretan art of expressing thoughts and emotions through improvised rhyming couplets, a living treasure of Cretan cultural heritage. Join us in a place where history, culture and contemporary creativity come together in one vibrant festival.
