Wim Mertens in Athens

The great Belgian Wim Mertens is back in Athens for just one show on November 26, 2012 in “THEATRON” of the Cultural Centre “Hellenic Cosmos”.

Wim Mertens, one of the most prominent exponents of minimalist compositions and film and theatre soundtracks, will play all his famous works accompanied by his trio.

Mertes has more than 50 releases in 30 years, as well as innumerable live performances the world over, either as a piano soloist, or with a chamber or a symphonic orchestra.

From the music of the show The Power of Theatrical Madness (1984) by Jan Fabre and of the multi-awarded film The Belly of An Architect (1987) by Peter Greenaway to the classic album-milestone of minimalist composition Vergessen (1982) to the very famous Un Respiro (2005), one thing is for sure: Mertens has never repeated his successful music forms, nor has he yielded to standardising his technique for the benefit of success.

Just write down the date and prepare for a high quality concert that will remain etched on your mind forever.
