2nd Molyvos International Music Festival

The Molyvos International Music Festival takes place for the second consecutive year on the island of Lesvos from August 16, 2016 to August 19, 2016. The festival is focused on classical music and hosts every year internationally acclaimed young interpreters from all around the world.

The festival, a unique event held in the North Aegean Region, brings young talented musicians in the amazing village of Molyvos. It offers a rich daily programme of chamber music which concludes with an evening symphonic concert at Molyvos Castle.

With “Crossroads” being the festival’s theme this year, the programme includes music from different countries such as Syria, Germany, Israel and the U.S.A. emphasising on the amazing outcome generated when different styles and cultures in music cross roads.

At MIMF, the public has the opportunity to come in contact with the artists. Apart from the main programme, small surprise concerts with free entrance entitled “Molyvos Musical Moments” take place at various beautiful spots in the village each day. In addition, the Young People’s Concert (free entrance) offers the opportunity to the young public to enter the magic world of classical music.

The Molyvos International Music Festival invites you to discover classical music through the amazing beauty of Molyvos!
