The world premiere of the show moved the audience by sending a timely anti-war message. Kouliabin's contemporary directorial approach, full of suspense, emotion, humor and dynamism, created an imposing atmosphere, while the performances of the distinguished actors enchanted the audience.
A tyrannical country is attacking a country seeking independence. To start the war requires an unimaginable sacrifice: a father must murder his daughter. Family betrayal and relentless power are intertwined on stage under a contemporary context that is very reminiscent of the reality we live in.
With Greek and English surtitles.
