Epidaurus Festival 2024

The Athens - Epidaurus Festival has announced the artistic programme for 2024 at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus from 5 July until 24 August and at the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus from Monday 17 June to Saturday 27 July 2024.




The Athens - Epidaurus Festival is the largest festival in Greece and takes place in many different venues.

At the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus the programme is as follows:
  • 5 - 6 July: World Premiere Timofey Kulyabin - Iphigenia in Aulis Based on Euripides.
  • 12 - 13 July: National Theatre of Greece – Theodoros Terzopoulos - Oresteia by Aeschylus.
  • 19 - 20 July: National Theatre of Northern Greece – Giannis Kakleas Plutus by Aristophanes.
  • 26 - 27 July: Comédie-Française - Tiago Rodrigues– Hecuba, not Hecuba.
  • 2 - 3 August: National Theatre of Greece – Thanos Papakonstantinou. Bacchae by Euripides.
  • 9 - 10 August: Aris Biniaris  Birds by Aristophanes.
  • 23 - 24 August: Greek Art Theatre Karolos Koun–Neos Kosmos Theatre–Marianna Kalbari. The Suppliants by Aeschylus.
At the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus the programme is as follows:
  • 24 - 29 June: STUDIO RESIDENCY - Parodos
  • 5 - 6 July: Nikos Hatzopoulos - Me, Her Servant by Vangelis Hatziyannidis. Inspired by Euripides’ Hecuba
  • 5 - 6 July: Katerini Papageorgiou - Iphigenia/ Prey By Vivian Stergiou. Inspired by Euripides’ Iphigenia
  • 13 July: Alexia Voulgaridou – Jan Roelof Wolthuis-Between Eros, Agape, and Thanatos
  • 20 July: Dimitris Kalantzis. Masters’ Voice: Manos Hadjidakis, Vassilis Tsitsanis
  • 26 - 27 July: Eleonora Zouganeli-On different paths
Little Trackers
5 July – 24 August (20:30)

Children’s creative workshop in Epidaurus. On Fridays and Saturdays during the performance at the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus for children aged 5 – 10.
