Amorgos International Tourism Film Festival 2025

The Women’s Cultural Association of Amorgos is organising the 16th Amorgos International Tourism Film Festival, which will take place from 13 to 18 November 2025.



The festival, which has gained international recognition and is a member of the CIFFT International Festival Committee based in Vienna. Through this participation, Amorgos and Greece gain broader exposure abroad, attracting filmmakers, audiovisual professionals, and culture enthusiasts from all over the world.

This year, the festival is expected to welcome approximately 100 participants from Greece, Europe, America, and Asia, who will have the opportunity to experience the island, exchange ideas, and draw inspiration from Amorgos’ natural and cultural landscape.

"Digital Renaissance: Cinema in the Age of Artificial Intelligence"
 
This year’s edition focuses on the role of new technologies and artificial intelligence in contemporary cinema. It explores how tools like virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR), deep fakes, and AI-powered content creation are transforming production, storytelling, and presentation, while also impacting the tourism sector.

At the same time, the 8th Amorgos Cinema Academy will welcome students and professors from various countries, organizing high-level workshops and lectures.

During the same period, will be held the 22nd YPERIA under the theme "Highlighting Cultural Heritage in the Digital Era".
The conference centers on the potential of technology in the preservation, promotion, and projection of cultural heritage, vthrough tools such as 3D mapping, VR, and digitization of monuments. It also emphasizes the connection between cultural heritage, gastronomy, and the environment, fostering a sustainable tourism experience.

In addition to screenings, competitions, and award ceremonies, the festival promises many surprises for participants and visitors, offering unique opportunities to sample local products, experience the island of Amorgos, and discover the landscapes and experiences that inspire filmmakers and art lovers year after year.
