Yiannis and Miltos Manakia. People behind the lens Project

The Museum of the Macedonian Struggle hosts the exhibition "Yannis and Miltos Manakia. The faces behind the lens" until 31 December 2023.

The exhibition is presented for the first time at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle with a large collection of photographs from the personal archive of Leonidas Manaki, son of Miltos Manakia, donated to the Foundation of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle and Modern History of Macedonia (IMMA) by the Honorary Ambassador Mr. Alexandros Mallias. Yiannis and Miltos Manakia, originally from Abdella Grevenon, traveled through the countryside and the large urban centers of the Balkans, documenting not only the lives of the hardworking people, moments of relaxation and entertainment but also architectural landmarks, historical and social events that mark the changes of the first half of the 20th century.
