The painful anniversary of the Asia Minor catastrophe is of particular importance for the city of Thessaloniki, a predominantly refugee city. In the Telloglion's exhibition "Uprooting, 1922-2022. Testimonies through Art", the theme is approached in two sections, mainly through artistic exhibits. The first section covers the period of the Asia Minor catastrophe, while the second section shifts the theme of uprooting from the narrow local boundaries of Asia Minor and Greece to more recent times, to the present day.

The first section mainly utilizes material from the Foundation's collections, a set of drawings by Spyros Papaloukas that the Teloglion has relatively recently acquired, as well as works by other artists in its collections (Valsamakis, Minas Avramidis, Halepa-Katsatou, etc.). etc.), works from other museums and collections (including works by Pericles Byzantios from the Asia Minor campaign), as well as photographic material from the Stratis Doukas Archive at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In the second part of the exhibition, Uprooting exceeds the temporal and geographical boundaries of Asia Minor and brings us to more recent past and present tragically similar situations, either in Greece or in other regions of the world.
