Plásmata ΙΙ: Ioannina

Onassis Stegi’s “Plásmata II” is a digital art exhibition about the worlds we make and where we – ultimately – belong. After Athens and Pedion tou Areos, where Plásmata captivated the Athenian public with more than 400,000 visitors, in June 2023 it will travel to the periphery and the historic city of Ioannina.

From June 16 to July 9, we are invited to a large exhibition of digital works by Greek and international artists on the city’s lakeside route, as well as concerts and DJ sets, workshops, discussions, educational programs, tours, and Movement Radio, Stegi’s 24-hour online radio station that will be broadcasting in full sound.

Visit the city of Ioannina and enjoy the encounter with 19 exhibition works which speak about digitality and tradition, artificial intelligence, and the transformation of the reality we live in, mythology and ecology. Creations by artists, designers, and visionaries who converse with the past while looking to the future, in a historical city.

With “Plásmata II” we want to talk about the digital, not as something structured in glittering LED screens and computer circuits, but as something organic that grows in the lake, that looks like the rain that never ceases, that exists in the sounds of the birds and the plane trees of the lakeside route. And that is why we are here with “Plásmata II”.

The exhibition is a production of Onassis Stegi and is under the auspices of the Region of Epirus and the Municipality of Ioannina, in collaboration with the University of Ioannina
