The Snow Queen at the Greek National Opera

The National Opera Ballet presents for the first time in Greece at the National Opera's Olympia Theatre Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale The Snow Queen. Choreographer Ray Barra has come up with a two-act romantic ballet set to the music of Russian composer Aleksandr Glazunov. Ballet Master is Christiana Stefanou, the new Greek National Opera ballet director.

The Snow Queen, one of Andersen’s most popular fairytales, was first published in 1843 and has inspired since then generations of directors, choreographers and musicians. Barra says: "It is a fairytale about the evil part of the world and the good part of the world". Don’t miss this unique opportunity to watch the adventures of its heroes, Kay and Gerda, entering a fairy tale world of fantasy and magic!
