Aghia Paraskevi church

It is a three aisled basilica and is considered to be one of the most important Byzantine monuments of 6th – 8th centuries. It is a large church with 38.40 m length and 19.90m width. It is said that the church was built on the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to Zeus. Several scientists and analysts around the world have tried to estimate its construction date but without results so far.
