Paganion Monastery

It is located close to Kallithea Paramithas village, in a panoramic location. The monastery was built in 1652 and is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin. Its founder is said to be monk Ioakim. It was a rich active monastery with important activity and offering. Nowadays its one room catholic is very well preserved and was decorated with hagiographies of the time it was constructed, while the rest of the building complex was recently renovated. It operates the last Sunday of each month. You can access it from Ioannina-Igoumenitsa national road through an uphill bypass of approximately 3km.
