Time in Turkey in Thessaloniki

Don’t miss the opportunity to visit until October 22, 2012 the photography exhibition Time in Turkey which is co-organised by the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki, Zaman Publishing Group and Thessaloniki Port Authority.

Embracing the values of multiculturalism, peace and cross-country collaboration through art, the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki travels us to Anatolia through the photos of various photographers that explored this multicultural region.

On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, the Turkish daily newspaper Zaman invited 25 internationally renowned photographers to Turkey on the occasion of the newspaper’s Time in Turkey photography project. By accepting the invitation of Zaman to travel throughout the multicultural Anatolia, the photographers uncovered stories of Turkey; stories witnessed every day but rarely noticed. Using their skills and expertise, they managed to encompass all aspects and views of contemporary Turkey, creating a visual journey around the country.

Thessaloniki is the second stop of the exhibition’s tour around Europe. Time in Turkey was shown in London and has already been broadcasted in 11 cities in Turkey, including Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.
