Plissken Festival 2014

Plisskën Festival, the music festival that has become a fixed calendar event for the early summer period in Athens, will be held on June 6 and 7, 2014 at “Hellenic Cosmos” Cultural Centre.

Plisskën Festival took place for the very first time in December 2010 in Athens. After four years of constant presence, it has managed to reach the standards of the biggest European and international music festivals. Clear proof to that is its inclusion in the guide of the renowned music portal pitchfork.com for the best summer music festivals of 2013 and 2014; Plisskën Festival proudly features alongside festivals such as Coachella Valley, Primavera Sound, Sonar and Bonnaroo.

At the same time, Plisskën Festival was awarded in 2013 “A Greener Festival Award 2013” for its environmental awareness and strategy.

Combining a wide range of music genres and bringing to Greece dozens of noted and pioneer international artists, Plisskën Festival gets bigger and gains the interest not only of the Greek but also of the European and international public.

This year, more than 50 music acts from all over the world, such as 65daysofstatic, Fink, Soft Moon, Black Lips, Damien Jurado, Fuck Buttons, Imam Baildi, Dub Pistols, Wild Beasts, Suuns, Wooden Shjips and many more, will be performing at the five music stages of Plisskën Festival and will offer the audience an unforgettable musical experience that will surely live up to their greatest expectations.

Plisskën Festival 2014 is under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
