PhotoBiennale: Logos at Thessaloniki

The PhotoBiennale’s thematic trilogy (Time-Chronos, Place-Topos, Discourse-Logos) organised by the Thessaloniki Museum of Photography concludes this year with a series of actions, focused on the theme of Discourse, which will last until September 08, 2014.

After “Time” (2008) and “Place” (2010-2011), the theme of “Discourse” is developed through several events (exhibitions, discussions, parallel events, screenings, concerts) at more than 20 points throughout Thessaloniki. It will then travel to other cities in Greece.

The public has the opportunity to encounter over 1,000 works made by 100 Greek and international artists from 23 countries around the world, artists that deal – some more obviously, others less so – with the interaction of text and image in their work. Beyond this expression found in the works themselves, the PhotoBiennale presents various experts and individuals in the field of photography from different countries participating in open discussions, giving masterclasses and conducting workshops.
