Olympolis Art Project 2013

At the foot of Mt Olympus, in one of the most beautiful places in Greece, the Olympolis Art Project will be held from 2 to 5 August 2013.

Olympolis Art Project is an art, music, ideas and gastronomy festival emphasising on artistic creation, meeting of people and exchange of views and ideas on environmental and social issues.

In the context of this year’s four-day festivities, there will be music concerts, gastronomy venues with local products, educational programmes for children while academic projects and historic documents on environments and global culture will be presented. Also there will be art exhibitions of contemporary and classic art which will last until October 30, 2013.

The festival’s top event however which will be presented in a world premiere on Saturday 3 August 2013, after the sunset, is the music theme ΟLYMPUS RAPSODY of approximately 70 minutes duration, composed and orchestrated by Eddy Koopman, percussionist of the Dutch Μetropole Οrkest.

Olympolis Art Project is under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation and supported by several institutions.

Travel to the shores of the regional unit of Pieria, the pregnant-with-history area of the foot of Mt Olympus, and combine the pleasure of attending the interesting events with the excitement of experiencing the plethora of activities in store.
