Megaro Gyzi Festival 2014

One printmaking exhibition and several concerts are included in the programme of Megaro Gyzi Festival 2014 which will be held in the 17th-century old family mansion Megaro Gyzi (Fira, Santorini) from August 1, 2014 to August 23, 2014.

The 8th in a row Megaro Gyzi Festival, under the artistic direction of Yannis Papaconstantinou, is dedicated to the memory of Manos Hadjidakis in commemoration of his death twenty years ago.

The festival starts with the printmaking exhibition titled “COPPER ENGRAVINGS: Panagiotis Tetsis & Lambros Orfanos” in which participate with 42 engravings the great painter and Academic Panagiotis Tetsis and the deceased, bosom friend of his, Lambros Orfanos, one of the most important Greek printmakers. The curator of the exhibition is Yannis Papaconstantinou.

The festival’s musical journey includes concerts by several artists and musical ensembles whο will perform different genres of music as well as beloved Greek and foreign songs.
