Gastronomy Days - Destination of origin: Greece intends to be a unique cultural event that brings together all those different elements which form the heterogeneous canvas of Modern Greek gastronomy.
The programme of activities includes a variety of events such as an exhibition of high quality food & beverages from selected Greek producers, degustation and cooking courses from popular Greek chefs (live cooking stage, free tasting, etc.), events for the promotion of Greek drinks and cocktails with the participation of distinguished mixologists, educational workshops as well as thematic events to emphasise the relation among gastronomy, architecture, tourism and culture. There will also be a series of presentations and open discussions.
Representatives of international organisations, foreign institutions, states and media will join a special event with the participation of the Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of the European Union, Ms. Maria Damanaki and the Minister of Tourism, Ms. Olga Kefalogianni.
Gastronomy Days – Destination of origin: Greece takes place under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Tourism and is organised by Reason to:, an agency for social responsibility initiatives, in cooperation with Food Concepts and the Department of Food Science & Nutrition of the Aegean University. It is realised thanks to the kind support of the Benaki Museum and the Hellenic Institute of Architecture.
