Hundreds of artists, bands, orchestras, choirs and philharmonics, joined hands and collaborated with local governments and organisers (at about 140 locations across the country), focusing on the events about to take place in 28 towns all over Greece, on June 21 or thereabouts.
The events of this year, will be held at Agios Dimitrios (Attica), Agrinio, Athens, Amaliada, Filippiada, Didymoteicho, Edessa, Domokos, Drama, Irakleio (Crete), Thessaloniki, Kavala, Kallithea (Attica), Komotini, Kythira Island, Kos Island, Moschato-Tavros (Attica), Larisa, Leivadia, Naxos Island, Xanthi, Paros Island, Preveza, Salamina, Santorini Island, Serres, Veroia and Volos.
More than 60 events will take place in Attica, in collaboration with the municipalities of Athens, Agios Dimitrios, Kallithea, Moschato-Tavros and Salamina, as well as with other cultural institutions and with the exclusive sponsoring of the “Stavros Niarchos Foundation” / Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (www.snf.org).
The biggest events of the European Music Day 2013 will be held in Syntagma Square, Klafthmonos Square, on Filopappou Hill, in Varnava Square, the National Garden, the Dafni Metro Station Square in Agios Dimitrios Municipality and at Kalypso Cinema in Kallithea. For the first time, new activities will be held in Kyprou Square in Kallithea Municipality, in Agios Georgios Square in Moschato-Tavros Municipality, in Avdi Square (Athens Municipality), in Mavrokordatou pedestrian Street (A.M.), in Adrianou pedestrian Street (A.M.) and in Pittaki Street (A.M.).
