Concert by the Athens State Orchestra at Ioannina


If you visit the picturesque town of Ioannina (north-western Greece), take the opportunity to attend the Athens State Orchestra’s concert held on February 16, 2013 at Ioannina Cultural Centre.

The concert is part of the 100-year anniversary celebrations for the liberation of Ioannina and the city’s incorporation to the Greek State.

The Athens State Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Yiorgos Vranos and with Spyros Mourikis as clarinet soloist, will perform compositions by Gioachino Rossini, Luigi Bassi, Giuseppe Verdi, Pavlos Karrer, Yiannis Konstantinidis and Nikos Skalkottas.
