Constance Kratsa, a millennial, has pursued her studies and worked in four countries; she has also travelled to many more. Since her student days she’s been capturing emblematic cities and used her lens to narrate each one’s role, as well as the image they want to project. Her interest in each city’s planning, the buildings and monuments, springs from her belief that architecture and urban planning show the culture of a city’s inhabitants. She considers that the creations of one generation influence the future generations and help build the city’s identity.
The exhibition includes photographs taken at six cities across the world, starting from Athens and, following the course of the sun, ending in Dubai. Each falls into one of three groups: cities with a past (Athens and Paris); cities with a present (London and New York); cities with a future (Shanghai and Dubai). All six cities are known for their international character and therefore belong to the entire world.
