Basil Theocharakis Painting 2007-2013

The interpretation of nature and its regeneration constitute the main theme of the new works by the accomplished painter Basil Theocharakis, for the period 2007-2013, which is presented at the B & M Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts & Music until February 23, 2014.

Through these works Theocharakis gives a powerful continuation to his morphological conquests in his own familiar and expressive way. This new body of works reveals the continuity of his visional world and his unwavering dedication to the values of painting.

Theocharakis paints imaginative pictures of forests and seas, with the confidence of his fifty-year artistic experience, crystallising with ease his visional universe.

The drawing sharpness, the harmonious colour juxtapositions and the solid component structure are all mirrored in his works. His Forests and Seas approach in a most hopeful way the breath of nature and of our world.
