Athens photo exhibition at Athens International Airport


Athens International Airport (AIA) has teamed up with the Benaki Museum once again and is hosting a new temporary exhibition at its «Art & Culture» exhibition area titled "Images of Athens from Benaki Museum’s Photographic Archives" that runs until July 15th, 2018.

During the said exhibition, which is the first individual collaboration between the Benaki Museum and the Athens International Airport, unique photographs of Athens covering the rich history of the city from the mid-19th century up to the late 1960s are put on display at AIA’s «Art & Culture» Exhibition Hall until mid-July for all airport visitors and passengers to marvel at.

The exhibition that includes a selection of photographs safeguarded by Benaki Museum in its Photographic Archives collection showcases the works of renowned Greek photographers valued both for their historical significance and their aesthetic excellence thus offering exhibition visitors with a unique opportunity to travel back in time and discover an Athens of a different era.

The "Images of Athens from Benaki Museum’s Photographic Archives" exhibition is a collaboration of Athens International Airport and the Benaki Museum.
