4th Spetses mini Marathon

With the phrase "To Win is to Participate” as its moto, the Spetses mini Marathon will take place for the fourth consecutive year on the magical island of Spetses from October 10, 2014 to October 12, 2014.

After last year’s great success with more than 3,000 runners and 6,000 visitors coming to Spetses, making the race the biggest outside city limits and the biggest open water race in Europe, this year more than 10,000 people are expected for the event!

For 2014 8 races have been scheduled; 25km running (the Island Round), 10km running, 5km running (the Fun Run), 3,000m swimming (Kosta-Spetses), 5,000m swimming (Spetses-Kosta-Spetses), kids’ 0-4 years 500m running (My 1st Spetses mini Marathon), kids’ 6-12 years 1,000m running and kids’ 6-12 years 300m swimming.
The races offer to participants the chance not only to join a great athletic event but also to admire the island’s unrivaled beauty.

As in previous years, a rich social and cultural agenda has been scheduled including tours at Bouboulina’s Museum and the famous Anargyreios and Korgialeneios College – which will also host the Opening Ceremony of the 4th Spetses mini Marathon – as well as the free for all pasta night which will provide the necessary energy for the athletes.

The 4th Spetses mini Marathon is organised by Communication Lab and is under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation and the Municipality of Spetses.
