43rd Olympus Festival

The Olympus Festival takes place for the 43rd consecutive year in Pieria (Central Macedonia) from July 5, 2014 to August 30, 2014 and offers a variety of cultural events to the public.

This year’s festival honours the German-speaking countries of the Alps (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and hosts various events from these countries.

Theatrical performances of ancient and modern drama, theatre dance shows, concerts and music spectacles, theatrical performances for children, screenings, exhibitions and lectures on archaeology will take place in special venues such as the Ancient Theatre of Dion, the Castle of Platamonas, Ancient Pydna, the Byzantine church of Panagia Kontariotissa and the Mediterranean Mosaics Centre in Dion.

Performances by musical and theatrical ensembles and art exhibitions from the three German-speaking countries of the Alps will further enrich the 43rd Olympus Festival’s programme.
