3rd Storytelling Festival in Athens

The Storytelling Festival “Athens...a city of tales,” an original festival dedicated to the World Storytelling Day (March, 20), takes place for the third consecutive year from March 15, 2016 to March 20, 2016.

The festival’s programme includes storytelling of folktales and myths by Greek and foreign storytellers, art exhibitions, special tributes, a scientific conference, music events and film screenings.

The events are hosted in various venues of the City of Athens and the participating institutions (museums, libraries, churches, cultural centres, auditoriums).

The Storytelling Festival is co-organised by the Culture, Sports and Youth Organisation of the City of Athens, the non-profit organisation “Folktales & Myths on the back of the Centaur,” the cultural association of Agios Georgios Nileias “The Centaur” and Pelion Oros.

The 3rd Storytelling Festival “Athens...a city of tales” is held under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
