3rd Athens Half Marathon

The Athens Half Marathon will be held for the third consecutive year on May 4, 2014 inviting runners from Greece and abroad to participate in a big celebration in the city’s centre.

More than 15,000 runners will run on the streets of Athens joining one of the event’s races, which includes the Half Marathon Race, a 5km Road Race, a 3km Road Race and a 1000m Race for people with disabilities and Special Olympics athletes.

The Athens Half Marathon is open to everyone given the variety of races it includes. It also constitutes an ideal opportunity for the runners to test themselves in view of the major Athens Classic Marathon.

This year’s event, with the Greek National Tourism Organisation as a state partner, is gaining a more international status, given the massive participation of runners from abroad who have already signed up.

The organisers’ ambition is for this year’s Athens Half Marathon to be embraced by even more citizens, runners and spectators becoming an unforgettable celebration!
